Hey Friends and Family, 

This year at Monmouth University, I am endeavoring in a Service Learning Project. I have partnered with the Bridge of Books Foundation, where I am volunteering, fundraising, and conducting research for their cause. I have volunteered at the Bridge of Books location where I helped organize the book donations by grade level. These books were sent to schools, and children where some students may be placed at risk for reading. These books will help all students to read at their grade level.

This organization's main goal is to help put books in the schools and homes of children who cannot afford them. This in itself will help to enlighten young minds and put an end to low literacy rates in America. Research suggests that without access to book these kids will not have the skills they need to have a bright future. Any sort of way you could help will impact many lives. Money donations will help fund Bridge of Books, so they can buy specific books that placed at-risk children need. Also, book donations are accepted by Bridge of Books. Please do what you can to work with me in putting an end to literacy issues in our area.

Imagine growing up with no books in your home. 

Books have the power to change lives - educationally, socially, emotionally and professionally. Unfortunately, there are still too many children today without books in their homes, schools and communities.
